On August 9, 2008, there will be a fund raising dinner and silent auction in support of YHH at the Mission Creek Country Inn, 3652 Spiers Rd, Kelowna BC. Featuring an India buffet, music, and information about YHH's activities in India. Tickets ($25) are available at Spoonstruck Cafe 3018 Tutt St., Kelowna, BC.
The Young Scholars 2008 program put on and organized by Youth Helping Hands was very successful. Several hundred orphans were given a chance to preform song and dance routines on a large in front of their peers, local dignitaries, and the public.
The event raised close to $8000 (CND) for the participating orphanages. This money be used to directly improve the lives of the orphans buy purchasing much needed supplies and education materials including:
